"Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance." Psalm 89:15
God has been speaking to me about establishing altars of praise as a strategy to bring change in the world. In this decade of Pey (the mouth), God is asking for our faith to be expressed in the earth through praise.
The enemy wants to take the praise, worship, and faith from God's people for himself, just as he tried to do in heaven. Unfortunately, we see this happening throughout the world. The saints are being worn down with a continual bombardment against their faith through division, pandemics, economic decline, terrorism, lawlessness, and so much more. The problem is that we have faith in the systems of this world to take care of the problems rather than having faith in God, who can intervene on our behalf.
BUT…A new sound is arising in the earth - the sound of faith expressed in praise - the sound that will overtake and silence all other sounds!
The Sound of Faith - a Praise in the Earth
God created us so that we would declare his praise in the earth.
"These people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise." - Isaiah 43:21
What is praise? It is your faith, expressed from your spirit and released as sound out of your mouth.
When we release the sound of faith into the atmosphere of the world, we are the NEW JERUSALEM praise in the earth!
"I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their Peace Day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth." - Isaiah 62:6-7
When we build daily altars of praise in our homes, businesses, jobs, and ministries, we cover the earth with the sound of heaven. The sound of heaven is the sound of faith declaring the victory already won in Christ Jesus. This sound changes the atmosphere, confuses and dispels the enemy, and draws the manifest presence of God to intervene on our behalf.
God inhabits and is enthroned on the praises of His people. Therefore, when we give the sacrifice of praise, expressing our faith in what He has done, is doing, and will do, it is our faith offering.
The sacrifice of praise is only a sacrifice because we lay our praises on the altar as a sweet-smelling fragrance to God. It is not a sacrifice in the sense of having to do it when we don't feel like it; our sacrifice of praise is the fruit of our lips, and it is God who puts the words in our spirit that becomes "the fruit of our lips."
"Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name." - Hebrews 13:15
"I create the fruit of the lips…" - Isaiah 57:19
Faith is a gift from God. He gives it to us to believe for our salvation. When we praise, that gift bubbles up through the Holy Spirit within us and comes out as the perfected praises from the mouths of babes. Yes, we are just babies compared to God.
We have all been given a measure of faith and are encouraged to exercise it. If we have ANY measure of faith, praise will flow from our spirit with joy! You may have only one thing to give praise about, but as we grow in Him, we have more reasons to praise him. He creates the praise in us and the fruit of our lips as we come to know Him and through the trials we endure in Him.
The Sound of Faith - Praise is Our Weapon
In the Old Testament, the people of God didn't have the name of Jesus as a weapon, but they did have praise. On this side of the cross, we have praise, the name and blood of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and direct access to God. We are fully equipped - this alone is a reason to give praise! When we put on our spiritual armor, our first defense is to put on the shield of faith.
In praise, we take our eyes off the problem and stop struggling on the human level; we focus our spiritual eyes on God and see beyond ourselves and our problem. Then we are positioned to receive God's provision for the problem. Praise stirs up our faith to stand in His mighty name and receive his plans and strategies to overcome. The spirit of prophecy is often released in a powerful time of praise because praise releases the spirit of wisdom and revelation from the throne room of heaven.
Truth: God has already judged the adversary, and he is a defeated foe. Therefore, praise executes the judgments God has already written (Psalm 149).
Truth: Praise acknowledges the victory Christ already won. Jesus is far above all things. His victory over Satan was legally accomplished at Calvary (Ephesians 1).
The Sound of Faith - Praise Changes Atmospheres
Praise is the atmosphere of heaven (Revelation 4). Therefore, when we praise, we are bringing the atmosphere of heaven to earth.
There are 3 atmospheres that are changed by praise. First, when we praise God, He shifts our personal atmosphere. As we continue to praise, he shifts the atmosphere of others. Finally, we praise until he shifts the atmosphere of the enemy.
Faith praise pleases God and moves him to act on our behalf. When we praise in faith, declaring God's promises with a heart of gratitude, it breaks doubt, discouragement, the things that hold us captive, and the works of the devil.
Praise God for who he is, what he has done, who he is in us, and what he will do through us. Faith is BELIEVING what we are praising. The new sound of faith in praise expresses our inward beliefs outwardly into the atmosphere as creative words of change. Praise establishes the Kingdom atmosphere on earth as it is in heaven!
When we give thanksgiving and praise to God, it draws us into worship, and when we worship Him, His glory is manifested in the earth!
Why is This New Sound Arising?
Because the enemy knows that his time is short and is pulling out all his tricks, but the battle is already won. DO YOU BELIEVE IT? Declare your faith daily in praise to the lord, then watch and see what He will do!
The Bible asks; When Christ returns, will he find faith? (Luke 18:8) Yes, he will because He is the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2) So, when you see all the troubles in this world, look again with eyes of faith, and count it all joy when you face trials because it perfects your faith (James 1:2-3).
"For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith." - 1 John 5:4
"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;" - 1 Peter 2:9
Prayer: Lord, bring forth the praise faith you placed in me and help me establish altars of praise in my life! In Jesus' name, Amen, let it be so.
