Restoration, by definition, is the action of returning something (or someone) to a former owner, place, or condition. In the same way that restoration is the action of returning, it can also be said that the act of returning initiates the process of restoration.
When God restores someone or something, He does not merely restore that person or thing to the place where they had fallen or got lost. When the Lord restores, He restores to His original intent and purpose. At this time, He is restoring His Church, the Body of Christ, the Ekklesia to His original plan and purpose.
